guppi is unfortunately no longer maintained. The 0.40.3 release (if
memory servers) was the last tarball to go out. After that there
was work behind the scenes to port to gtk2 (module libguppi) that
almost finished, but ran out of steam.
The child of guppi lives in libgoffice, a part of gnumeric for the
next month or so.
