You aren't doing anything wrong, other than that you don't have
gnome-guile and guile-gtk installed.  (You need both.)

There is a guile-gtk RPM at
http://www.ping.de/sites/zagadka/guile-gtk/latest.html

I don't know if it also contained gnome-guile.  Try installing that
RPM and then try again.
