There's Interrail[1] connection to Turkey for Europeans. That's the
cheapest way to come to Turkey.
For flight, there're two international airports, and both of them are
well connected to city center with cheap transportation. It's not like
you need to spend extra 30 pounds to reach city center.
Ataturk Airport is better one, and Sabiha Gokcen is mostly for carter
flights.
