Thanks for the quick reply!

Here's a summary of action points we had covered when sponsoring
the event in previous years:

GUADEC receives:
- Printed ads in 6 magazines (see my explanation below)
- Listing as "Featured Event" with logo and link in printed
  magazine and online
- Listing in print event calendar
- Editorial event report in the "Community" section (depending
  on availability)

Linux New Media receives:
- Recognition for the 6 magazine mentioned below as official
  media sponsors with logo and link on the event's website
  and other event-related materials
- Insertion of flyers/magazines into delegate bags/publication
  bins
- Anything else? Are you doing sponsors bags like Debconf?

Here's a list of the 6 magazines you'd get ad space in:
- Linux Magazine English, http://www.linux-magazine.com
- Linux-Magazin Germany, http://www.linux-magazin.de
- Linux Magazine Spain, http://www.linux-magazine.es
- Linux Magazine Poland, http://www.linux-magazine.pl
- Ubuntu User English, http://www.ubuntu-user.com/
- Ubuntu User Germany,http://www.ubuntu-user.de

Giving us logos/links to these magazines on your website doesn't
mean you had to place 6 different logos there. Check out how
Debconf has done it (we're a sponsor there as well).
See http://debconf.org/ and scroll down to the bottom.
A solution like this is perfectly OK for us.
