Actually stro and me decided to drop by now the installation of the i18n module, since it implies some patches to the core, this is an obstacle when upgrading and, well, until now there hasn't been a precedent of translations and the demand is (until now) low. The site currently has three locales activated (English, Spanish, Catalan) that let user choose the language of the Drupal interface (not the contents of the site, this is what the i18n module manages). There are also forums in Spanish and Catalan in the Warm Up section. Other languages could be added too at this level, German, French, etc are well covered in Drupal localisation. About translating contents, since the core GUADEC is in English I don't see a big pressure to write translations. The GUADEC-ES will have the main informaton in Spanish I guess and the Local Workshops will be explained in the language in which each workshop will be held. This is the default reasonable approach, I guess. If we need to setup a more complete multilingual site then we could install the i18n module. I have it in my own site and, well, it works and is stable. Apart from this, I know and I have worked with his developer, Jose A. Reyero, a Spanish guy. In case of little help he could give us a hand. En/na Thilo Pfennig ha escrit: > If there is a need and no one better available I could translate some > texts from english to german (in Drupal). Just drop me an email. -- Quim Gil - http://desdeamericaconamor.org
