En/na Murray Cumming ha escrit: > I think we should require that this logo prominently displays the GNOME > logo and name, without changing the logo. In the past, we've had GUADECs > with lots of GUADEC posters and merchandise, with almost no mention of > GNOME itself. Which was stupid. Ok, the GNOME logo mandatory and the GNOME name... possibly optional because having two words in a single logo (GNOME + GUADEC) may be a tough design exercise. Agreed? I don't know if I'm interpreting right the no-opinions about this contest but I like the idea, it will be useful for the GUADEC & GNOME promotion, it fits in the current marketing trends and I'm going to push for it. :) The GUADEC sponsorship strategy could be a combination of general and loyal sponsors (advisory board, basically) plus some other more specialised/local that could sponsor specific actions i.e. 25 registraton fees of local developers, 5 sponsorship to African developers, 500 drink vouchers for the GUADEC party... We could target the Vilanova Tourism Office for these 2 contests in order to finance the visit to the town of two very creative people + partners. The contests could be announced with the released of the site - a good step to assure an initial wave of GNOME-friendly visitors to the site. Deadline: one month + 1 week to decide the winner. The jury could be formed by one representant of: - GNOME Foundation - the owners of the brand - GUADEC committee - the contest organisers - art.gnome.org - main source of contributors (I) - gnome-look.org - main source of contributors (and II) - GIMP development team - experts in creative GTK+ tools (I) - Inkscape development team - experts in creative GTK+ tools (and II) - Vilanova - the local eye - The sponsor - getting them involved as well - The community - based on the results of a poll in the GUADEC website We would find an online procedure to get the winners in a not too time-consuming way. -- Quim Gil - http://desdeamericaconamor.org
