Re: [Gtranslator-devel] Most wanted feature, request currently?

Hi Fatih,

I am expecting a 1.0 release just containing a stable version of what
we've got now (i.e. gtranslator ported to G2). AFAICS, the current state
of CVS is that it's workable, but has a few easily reproducible bugs
(reported by users in bugzilla) that we need to clear down. We've also
got to implement a non-UTF8 import/export, to cater for the redundant
UTF8 import/export we removed.

At that point, I'd say we can release 1.0 (and branch CVS to produce
1.0.1, 1.0.2 etc, stable releases. After that, CVS HEAD will be free to
add new features (such as this merge feature), and make 1.1
development/feature testing releases.

I have extracted the stuff I was doing for the merge feature to a patch
file, and removed it from my local working dir for the meantime, as it's
still not near enough to completion. After CVS has been branched for
1.0, I can finish it off and commit it to HEAD, and start looking at all
the other feature requests in bugzilla.

However, due to work commitments, I'm not finding as much time as I'd
hoped to work on gtranslator. I'm hoping this will change in a couple of
weeks.
