Ellipsizing

I have a CellRendererText with property_ellipsize () =
Pango::ELLIPSIZE_MIDDLE, and a Tooltip to display the full text. I don't
want to show the Tooltip on any un-ellipsized cell, so I need to
determine whether the text has been ellipsized. How can I do that?
