gray text in an entry

Hi,
I want to write in light gray "title" in an entry. Then if I clicked on
the entry to edit it, I want this text not shown anymore except in the
case where the entry is left without some text (then I want "title"
back).

is it something I can do straightforward ? or should I do that from
scratch with callbacks and stuffs ?
