You don't have to open a new bug. Such a gdk-pixbuf bug was filed 3 
months ago:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=686201

You just have to wait and hope that it will be implemented in 
gdk-pixbuf, and that the new function will then be wrapped in gtkmm.
