compile time checking of *mm version

Hi everybody,

I wonder if it is possible to determine the version of *mm components at
compile time, during preprocessing to be exact. This is required to be
able to support different *mm versions by hiding new and deprecated api,
whichever fits.

In other words, I need *mm equivalents of GTK_VERSION_CHECK,
GLIB_VERSION_CHECK, PANGO_CHECK_VERSION (why is the name not consistent
with the rest?) macros.
