I uninstalled the 64bit version and installed 32bit version of gtkmm. It worked! I am sure in Visual Studio 2010 Express, you need to configure additional steps for 64 bit version.
For instance, I saw kernel32.lib in the dependencies. I am sure it is for 32bit.
