Another possible combination might be Gtk::TreeView and Gtk::TreeStore 
(which implements rows and columns) see chapter 8 of Programming with 
gtkmm (http://www.gtkmm.org/docs/gtkmm-2.4/docs/tutorial/html/index.html)
