Menus with libglademm

Hi,
Can anyone tell me which is the most effective way to load menus with
libglademm?
Currently I'm deriving every widget until reach the last Gtk::MenuItem. Do
I need to make all this?
Which signal does Gtk::MenuItem triggers when clicking on it? Where is it
specified in glade3?
