Yes, Preview.App is not used, and Evince is supposed as default. This is how
it is ATM, you need to write .gtkrc on your own. Hopefully this will change in
future. Someone would need to either write a printing backend for Mac, or make
use of Preview.app through .gtkrc.

So someone needs to find or create a GTK+ C test case, or try an existing GTK+
C application that uses this feature.

"../../glib/glibmm/fileutils.h:437: error: expected initializer before '&'
token" is this:
int mkstemp(std::string& filename_template);
and "fileutils.cc:136: error: expected initializer before '&' token" is this:
int mkstemp(std::string& filename_template)
So, I guess that maybe mkstemp is #defined as something. Could you check that
by trying to rename that function, please?
However, I wonder why I don't have this problem. I'm using Ubuntu Edgy with
this g++ version:
murrayc ubuntumurrayc:~/svn/gnome218/glibmm$ g++ --version
g++ (GCC) 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5)
I guess you are using Ubuntu Feisty. Is that correct?

Could you maybe create a configure test? There are already several tests,
though libsigc++ might also contain more similar tests.

This needs more comments to explain what is happening. And the class needs
doxygen documentation to explain when you might want to use this class, and how
to use it. I believe there might be some special considerations due to
initialization of base classes with virtual inheritance, but I guess that you
have experience of that enough to describe it.
Is this use of referenced_ just similar to the use in GtkObject? Is there
anything in GtkObject that you needed to remove in this class?
Minor whitespace errors:
- There should be indenting in the .h file, as in the other files.
- The indenting in the .cc file should be 2 spaces per indent.

Sorry for submitting the code this way. I?ll document it when I get time to do
that.
GtkObject is very similiar to GInitiallyUnowned, and so most of the code is
similar. For me, the main difference is, if I got that right, the destruction
system of GtkObject (using destruct-notifies etc.), which doesn?t exist for
GInitiallyUnowned. This also was the only thing I removed.
