Can you compile GTKmm without first compiling GTK?
no
thus, any GTK problem is a
GTKmm problem, wouldn't you say?
No, it's a GTK problem (or possibly a user problem). gtkmm developers
don't create GTK+ releases, so if there's a problem with the GTK+
release, you must speak to those responsible for it.
But unless you're actually going to be modifying the gtkmm source
code, there's almost no reason to compile the GTK+ or gtkmm libraries
yourself. Just use the packages supplied by your linux distribution
or use the pre-made windows binaries (if you use windows)
