generated makefile does not work

Hi, I used glade-gnome to generate a C++ project then
glade-- <project file> and the autogen.sh which should
produce the makefile. When I run the makefile I get the
error message
"no rule to make ./config.status".
How can I fix this?

My versions are gtkmm 2.2.12 libgtk2 2.8.10.
