glib SignalTimeout

Can anyone tell me if this doc and example on Glib::SignalTimout is
still valid for the new versions (sigc 2.0 as opposed to 1.2)? It's
listed as having been written in 2001, so I have my doubts.

If it's not up to date, can anyone point me toward a valid example for
setting up callbacks on timer signals (I just want a function to be
called every 20ms using glade/gtkmm/sigc++
