GtkSourceView

I am using GtkSourceView with my application. Well, a C++ wrapper
of it actually. In any case, I cannot figure out how to permanantly
change the syntax highlighting colors of a specific language.

Where exactly are these values stored? I know the specifications
are in the .lang files, but I mean the colors themselves. Also, I
notice that when I change a color in GEdit, it remains correct
until I load my application and then the default is resumed in
both applications.

I know this is more than one question, but they all relate.
Thanks for any advice you can give.
