Problem with glib-2.0

Hello,

I am new to gtkmm. I am having trouble compiling the example code due to a
problem with glib-2.0.

/usr/local/include/glib-2.0/glib/gmessages.h:109: error: expected
init-declarator before "G_GNUC_INTERNAL"
/usr/local/include/glib-2.0/glib/gmessages.h:109: error: expected `,' or `;'
before "G_GNUC_INTERNAL"

I searched the list archives. There seems to have been some discussion of this
problem, but I am still unclear on what I need to do to fix it.
