(System-)global keyboard shortcuts

Hello,

   I'd like my application to provide a global
shortcut, like Ctrl+Alt+X, that will be triggered
from anywhere in the (windowing-)system.
Is this possible with gtkmm? I couldn't find anything
about it in the documentation.
