[gtkmm] Executable size

Hello All!
I have here a small prototype with a few classes and widgets.
After taking a look at the size of the binary I got a little scared:
9MB!!!! Its huge!!!

Is this normal?? Dinamically linked??

I remember using QT and having a small utility (about 20classes and 4 
forms/dialogs) that got 1.3MB dinamically linked.
