Hi all,
I was installing GTKmm2.4 on RH9.0 and got the
followwing looping error. I sincerely request help , as I am stuck. (I have
marked the console warnings in red fontcolor)
1.When it was the turn of xft-2.1.2-1 to get installed it came up with the
following warning :-
warning: /root/linuxdev-inst/xft-1.1.2-1.i386.rpm: V3 DSA
signature: NOKEY, key ID
e01260f1 error: Failed dependencies: fontconfig >= 2.2.0 is needed by xft-2.1.2-1
2.Finding this error displayed , I tried installing fontconfig-2.2.0-1 but it uttered me with the following warning : warning: /root/linuxdev-inst/fontconfig-2.2.0-1.i386.rpm:
V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID f9651d5a
file /etc/fonts/fonts.conf from install of fontconfig-2.2.0-1 conflicts
with file from package fontconfig-2.1-9
file /etc/fonts/fonts.dtd from install of fontconfig-2.2.0-1 conflicts
with file from package fontconfig-2.1-9
file /usr/bin/fc-cache from install of fontconfig-2.2.0-1 conflicts with
file from package fontconfig-2.1-9
file /usr/bin/fc-list from install of fontconfig-2.2.0-1 conflicts with
file from package fontconfig-2.1-9 3.As this attempt of mine stated this , I tried installing fontconfig-2.1-9 (as this was the version that was conflicting) but it again came with the following warning, warning: /root/linuxdev-inst/fontconfig-2.1-9.i386.rpm:
V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID db42a60e
package fontconfig-2.1-9 is already installed 4. I again tried uninstalling the fontconfig-2.1-9 and then re-installing but I was landing up facing the same problem.
Any suggestions?
