Fedora Development (formerly Red Hat Rawhide) has g++ 3.4 and g++ 3.5
available set up to install at the same time as the base version of
g++. You might be able to use these on Red Hat 9.

They can be found at
ftp://ftp.telus.net/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/i386/Fedora/RPMS/
or try other mirrors that carry the development directory from
http://fedora.redhat.com/download/mirrors.html
