Greetings, My name is Rod and I am new to the world of Linux. I am so intrigued
by it and wish to use it more and more for my own desktop. This leads me to a
little dilemma, I am trying to get my SUSE 9.1 system on line and to do this I
have to go wireless, this is my only option at this point. I am trying to get a
Cisco Aironet 350 PCI card up on it and the Cisco software tells me I need
gtkmm and libsigc++ before I can install there Aironet Client Utility. After
diving into this quest I have realized I need a lot more than just these
packages installed due to dependencies. I have installed pkg-config / glib /
ATK / Pango / GTM+ / libsigc++ but I cannot install the gtkmm. The install
notes say to run ./configure than make and then make install. I have done the
./configure but the make does not work nor does make install. I am new to linux
and do not have much experience with it. I am lost and desperately need some
assistance. Can you counsel me a little with this? Thanks in advance. Rod Beaudry |
