The book is in there.

It's not all that much.
You could also make a diff against a copy of the tarball, but that will have
it's own difficulties.
Note that example code for the book should be in the examples/book
directory, and should be pulled into the book automatically, like 95% of the
current example code in the book already is.
I'm glad that you're looking at this. I was thinking about removing the
DrawingArea section because it is the only chapter that is not yet
up-to-date.
I believe that the example/gdk radar thing might also be useful to look at.
