[gtkmm] big exe

Hi.

I'm using glade2 2.0.0 under RH9 and gtkmm v2.0.0.
I created interface with a simple main window, 2 dialogs, 10 buttons and
a few entry's with labels and one main menu. When i compile the
interface with makefile that 'autogen.sh' generates, executable file is
3.5Mb big !!!
Why its so big ???
Can I make smaller executables ???
Any ideas ?
