[gtkmm] Finding libsig++ 1.2?

I am starting a gtk project, and I would like to use gtkmm2.  I know its not
done, but since you folks are "Almost Done", and I'm not planning to
immediately put this into production and can deal with API changes.  

I can download gtkmm2, but I can find no way to download the required
libsigc++ 1.2.  All the libsigc++ links on the gtkmm page lead to
http://libsigc.sourceforge.net/, which only has links to download libsigc++
1.0.4.  

So off to cvs.gnome.org I went.  The files I pulled from there would not
./configure.  Is there some reason that I can't get libsigc++ 1.2?  Do I
need to know the magic handshake?  Would you like me to dance for you? :-)
