Total is 7.3 Megs for the DLLs (without debugging symbol), compiled with 
mingw32 (see below).

Talking about stability, I would say gtk+-2.0 on win32 (hence gtkmm-1.3.x) 
is fairly stable. Its weakest points :
1. No support for multithreading (do it at your own risk !)
2. No "standard" and unified (commonly accepted by the community) gtk+-2.0 
windows installer for the developper packages and runtime libraries. There 
is a nice installer for the runtime environment only but for some obscure 
reasons, it does not use the same naming scheme for the DLLs as in the 
developper packages.
