Would you mind to provide a new virt-viewer build for Windows with that version included?I don't have a current ETA on doing a new virt-viewer build, but when I do I'll make sure it has this new package version included. BTW, it would be good to have confirmation the fixes included in this release do actually work :-) I only did minimum testing to make sure it worked on a british keyboard layout, ie euro & pound signs worked. In between I downloaded the Fedora koji built of mingw gtk-vnc 0.5.4 and copied libgtk-vnc-2.0-0.dll over to my virt-viewer Windows directory. Viewer crashes directly after start in libgdk-3-0.dll. . Am I missing something or must I rebuilt it from scratch?Did you also copy the libgvnc DLL ? They must be matched from the same buildThanks for the tip. I copied it from the installation packages Nevertheless it did not work. virt-viewer still terminates with a crash (had to translate it from german). event: APPCRASH application: remote-viewer.exe applicationversion: 1.0.0.0 timestmp: 54b40865 erromodule: libgdk-3-0.dll moduelversion: 3.14.5.0 moduletimestamp: 381437d4 exception: c0000005 exceptionoffset: 00014dc4 osversion: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 areaschema: 1031 addinfo 1: 0a9e addinfo 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 addinfo 3: 0a9e addinfo 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Maybe I find some time on the weekend to test it better. MarkusFrom what I can see you're using remote-viewer 1.0 and it uses GTK *2* for both spice and gtk-vnc. The 2.0 version, using GTK *3*, was release on January 12th and you can download it from here: https://virt-manager.org/download/ and try to replace the libgtk-vnc-2.0.0-dll and libgvnc dll. Another solution is, do not use libgtk-vnc-2.0.0.dll, which depends on GTK 3 with your "old" remote-viewer binary and use libgtk-vnc-1.0.0.dll instead.
Sorry for that confusion. But remote-viewer is compiled with somehow bad version numbers. From the file details (right klick properties) one can read: file-version 1.0.0.0 product-version 2.0 I deleted all old installations and can confirm that the "About VM-Viewer" dialogue displays version 2.0256 (when running with DLLs from installation package.
