Dang, looks like I was too fast with committing this. The change breaks
Gtk2/t/GtkAction.t, specifically this part:

Gtk2::Action::get_proxies returns widgets which have only a single,
floating ref on them. With the above change, they are thus destroyed
prematurely. Trying to find a solution now:
