Just downloaded Gtk2-GladeXML-1.003.tar.gz, but it's really big; looks

indeed, the tarball has blib, build, and GladeXML.o in it. :-/

i tried make dist after make disttest just now, and it tarred up only
the files listed in MANIFEST. in fact, if you distclean, you no longer
have a makefile for dist.

did you use make dist or just tar up the working copy directory?

make dist, of course. and i did it from a clean tag checkout. this is
what i did:

        make all test disttest dist

try that and see what's in the tar file. i have no clue what's going on
there, but it repeatedly gets the behavior in question. if i do:

        make all test disttest
        make dist

it works correctly.

if you haven't put the tarball on CPAN, yet, you *should* be able to
remove the existing files and replace them on sourceforge.

i put that one up right as i was done since what was up there was
