Can you post some code so that i can play with something resembling
what you have?
Here is a context diff for examples/simplelist.pl that makes
the first 2 columns sortable if you check the sortable box:
indeed.
there ought to be a way to get the list out of sorted mode, but given
what you've described, wanting to use the sort as a starting point for
further reordering, that seems like the wrong way to go... so i hacked
up something like what i described in the last message: clicking a
column header simply reorders the data in the simplelist itself,
bypassing all of the TreeSortable stuff. patch against clean
simplelist.pl attached. i tried to comment heavily, but i'm a little
hung over from the new year, so let me know if it's not clear. ;-)
Wow, that's neat.
I really think the underlying issue should be fixed, but
I'll use what you created. Thanks a lot.
If the underlying problem can't be solved, I think that
would be a good addition to examples/simplelist.pl
with some comments about when a manual sort is needed.
I felt the effects of last night too, but a half hour walk
this AM cleared that up.
