i'm sorry.  we have a vocal party line here and in irc ("don't use Gtk-Perl,
use Gtk2-Perl!") but have not been able to get any mention of gtk2-perl on
gtkperl.org, despite many tries.

not really, you just have to port it.  it's not actually very hard.
