it was replaced with a MVC heiarachy, take a look here,
http://developer.gnome.org/doc/API/2.0/gtk/TreeWidgetObjects.html, for the
details.

you may also want to take a look at Gtk2::SimpleList. examples/simplelist.pl.

there's examples of how to use the MVC stuff under the t (tests) directory. as
well as in the gtk-demo apps.
