find these zips (main project(s) download web pages)
and unzip these into c:\usr (for this example)

gtk+-dev-2.2.4.zip
jpeg-6b-1-bin.zip
jpeg-6b-1-lib.zip
libiconv-1.9.1.bin.woe32.zip
libpng-1.0.13-bin.zip
libpng-1.0.13-lib.zip
libpng-1.2.5-bin.zip
libpng-1.2.5-lib.zip
pango-1.2.5.zip
pango-dev-1.2.5.zip
pkgconfig-0.15.zip
tiff-3.5.7-bin.zip
tiff-3.5.7-lib.zip
zlib-1.1.4-1-bin.zip
zlib-1.1.4-1-lib.zip


then open a cmd prompt and run this (coz there not in
your system path...yet)

set PATH=c:\usr\bin;c:\usr\lib;%PATH%


then in some dir where you have unpacked the GTK2
source:

cmd> cd GTK-1.014/gtk-demo
cmd> perl  main.pl
