Error with Bonobo

I am compiling Gtk-perl without-guessing, and when i run the Bonobo
Makefile.PL i get this error:

Using ../blib
Using ../GdkImlib/blib
Using ../Gnome/blib
Can't modify constant item in scalar assignment at Makefile.PL line 60,
near "))"
  (Might be a runaway multi-line () string starting on line 54)
BEGIN not safe after errors--compilation aborted at Makefile.PL line 81.
[root localhost Bonobo]# perl Makefile.PL
