I've been using the gtk-osx-build-setup.sh script which picks an older jhbuild stable release, and this fix doesn't seem to be in a jhbuild stable release yet. I'm trying to get virt-viewer/spice-gtk builds on OSX, and this can use either pulse-audio or gstreamer for audio, so I went for gstreamer, I didn't look at all at using the native audio facilities.
