Are you sure? :)

People want to move away from GtkIconBox, not GtkFlowBox. GtkFlowBox
is the container that is supposed to replace GtkIconBox.

I have some patches to replace the GtkIconView-based widget that
gnome-documents, gnome-photos and some other applications use:
