What compiler are you building with?  If it's Visual Studio 
(particularly one of the recent versions) it's very likely that the 
relevant runtime modules won't be installed on somebody else's system.  
This is especially true if you gave them a Debug build of your app.

Windows Vista seems to date back to around 2006.  So (by default) it 
probably won't come with any runtimes newer than maybe VS2005.  Even 
Windows 7 doesn't (by default) install any runtimes newer than about VS2008.
