Im trying to build glib-2.38.2 or 2.40 on FreeBSD 10 amd64. Im stuck
on the same error


Did you try with the glib 2.41.0 ?

Syntax error: "(" unexpected

Did you apply any patch ?
Did you edit a file before to try to compile ?
There is not information at all about the line number ?



Try with the last version (2.41.0) and may be the git version.

After that, you can find more help by developers.
