as the picture shown, my desktop environment is xfce4

the top window is the xfce4 thunar file manager

and the below is my gtk2 application

as you see, the buttons in the two window is quite different

I know xfce based on gtk+2

but why xfce's windows looks beautiful, however my own gtk+-2.0 app look ugly?
