G_CONST_RETURN in libunique-1.0

Hello.

I need to compile libunique-1.1.6 for liferea-1.8.0, but I can't since
G_CONST_RETURN has been deprecated while some headers (uniquemessage.h
for instance) use this macro.

How can I get libunique-1.1.6 to compile? Thanks!
