C#/Mono and GNOME 3.0

Mono's Gtk+, as far as I know, requires an older Gtk+ 2.10 or 2.14 based for Gtk#, Is this online with GNOME/GTK+ 3.0? Any Gtk# based application will be an exception?
Or Mono will use GObject Introspection in order to get updated automatically?
