Well, I cannot say that I often use this feature, but it is (was?) one
of the good (there are many bad too) distinctive features of GTK.
How many LOC/bytes this change will save? Does it really makes a
considerable difference? Is the related code too complicated to
maintain (seems hard to believe)?
