I vaguely remember that not the latest PCRE should not be used, or, you
can put it another way - the latest PCRE breaks 'make check' of 'glib'.
I am using pcre-7.9; pcre-8.0 breaks 'make check' of glib-2.20.5.
Hi Sergei, thanks for that.  I've confirmed that using pcre-7.9 enables 
glib's testsuite to pass again.  I'll see if I can chase this up with 
the pcre folks.
