Jerky window resizing in Windows GTK app

Hi,

I have an app using GTK for which I build Linux and Windows versions. With
the Windows version, user resizing of the main window by mouse dragging
looks really bad - as the mouse moves it out or in it jerks back and forth
between different sizes, and sometimes its position even jumps an inch or so
across the screen and then back. The Linux version does not show this at all
and resizes nice and smoothly.

Is this a known/normal problem with GTK in Windows, and if so is there any
known workaround for it?
