Sylpheed with DirectFB backend?

Hi All,
Has anyone run Sylpheed email client with DirectFB backend on embedded device?
I tried it running but it is not displaying fonts correctly. There are black patches in place of fonts which is like highlighting fonts with black color. There are no errors displayed though.
