Hello,
I have cross-compiled Xfbdev for ARM9 core and running it on a board
powered by Freescale's i.MX21 processor.
I have cross compiled Cairo 1.4.10, Pango 1.18.3, Glib 2.14.0, Gtk
2.10.14 and ported on to the board. I have tried to run simple GTK
widgets like buttons and labels and they run fine. The error arises
when I use "Gtk entry", "Gtk text view" and "Gtk tree view" widgets.
On execution, I get the following error:
The program 'window' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadName'.
 (Details: serial 135 error_code 15 request_code 45 minor_code 0)
 (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
  that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
  To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
  option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
  backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
Why do only these widgets throw up this error when the other simple
widgets are running fine? Any help would be appreciated.

Prashant
