Is it OK to use classes using GTK+ in Xlib applications?

I want to add GtkMozEmbed which is a browser engine using libGTK+ to my
application using Xlib.
If I convert GtkMozEmbed to a class, can I use GtkMozEmbed class in  my
application?

GtkMozEmbed class must be called in the thread, but will the gtk_main() part
work properly within the thread?
